What Faith Can Do
June 25, 2010

As I'm driving home from the store I listen to a song and tears flood my eyes tears of joy and admiration of God. The song has been ministering to me, but now it has more meaning in my life. The first verse of “What Faith Can Do” is:

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it's more than you can take
But you're stronger, stronger than you know
Don't you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

At age 10 my dad died and my faith in God was shattered. On Thursday during my Spirit/Soul Hurt session, I poured out my pain about my dad's death to the Lord. The picture I got from the Lord was Jesus was breaking chains off of me. His light knocked over my prison walls. Instead of a prison I was now in a beautiful ballroom filled with light. I was free to dance with God in His ballroom of grace and love. I saw God take my anger, guilt and shame and it became a fire. As it was burning the ashes were drifting higher and higher into the atmosphere only to become the light of brilliant, beautiful fire works – exploding everywhere – lighting up the darkness with its beauty. Isaiah 61:3 “beauty instead of ashes.”

I've seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That's what faith can do

My prayers and the prayers of my friends, who I call my spiritual family, were answered. My broken heart has new joy and faith. A shift in perception – a miracle – happened. Knowledge moved from my head to my heart where it is now belief – faith.

I'm believing:

Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise

This is my independence day!!!!!
